  : Breakfast was excellent. Good choice of cereals, toast, juices etc. Cooked breakfast eas also tip top. Very friendly staff everywhere in the hotel.
  : Not much. We were out all day golfing so only used the hotel for sleeping, breakfast and a nightcap. All very good.

  : Great location, beautiful building. All staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. The room was large with a beautiful view of the river and race course. The bed was large and very comfortable with high quality bed linens.
  : At this price point I would expect a room with some nice furniture. It was a large room but very bare, there was only one small vanity table to place our belongings, no drawers and no wardrobe only a rail in a recess of the room, it felt more budget than luxury. The bathroom was very dated and dusty. Again there were no surfaces to store our toiletries. I would expect some soap shampoo and conditioner at the least to be stocked in the bathroom. Instead there was a used communal bottle of generic shower gel. This was a little disappointing as was the shower curtain, most good hotels have a shower screen now, it is much more hygienic. Finally, the towels were small and threadbare again not what I would expect at this price point. These are my personal opinions regarding how this room could be uplifted because this is a beautiful hotel with gorgeous views. Just a few tweaks!

  : Staff were not overly friendly except for one lovely lady I met on my last day there. Her name is Annie and she was very friendly and warm. All other staff barely acknowledged I was there.
