  : Lovely clean room. Nice atmospheric hotel
  : Had a meal in the evening, two of us ordered the mussels which were awful, hardly any sauce, the mussels were tiny and cold. Very disappointing.

  : The breakfast was fine. However it was evident on the Saturday morning that the waitress was working alone and as a result we had to wait longer than usual to be served. The food wasn't as hot as in the past and we had to ask for toast three times before it arrived-- at the end of the breakfast.
  : Oour meal on saturday evening was average - certainly not the usual high quality that Mc Grorys are known for. We later learnt that the cook hadn't arrived . The existing staff worked "their socks off" and deserve great credit as there was a post weddinthere was a post wedding party in too.

  : Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a pleasant comfortable hotel as long as you didn't want a good night's sleep and it wasn't cheap.
  : There was a group playing directly under our bedroom and other people's bedrooms . And after that there was Loud loud disco on a Sunday night until 3am. So we like others got had to listen to this dreadful noise for 5 hours ,got a few hours sleep and had to get up for breakfast. This was not a cheap hotel and then we had to vacate the room by 11am otherwise a fine would be imposed and they threatened to do that. We are an elderly couple in our 70's and this was a Monday morning. Were they really so busy that they couldn't give us a few minutes grace to vacate our room. They owed us that and more because of what we had to endure during the night. When we mentioned the noise( it's not generally in our nature to complain but many people would have demanded their money back) all we got from the receptionist was 'SORRY' and was it really that bad. Others couples complained too that is a fact . It's the first time in 50 years that we would express this disappointment about a hotel ,appartment , any sort of accomodation we stayed in all over the world. And this is about a hotel in Ireland and we are Irish. We are disgusted and will never be back to McGrorys.
