: 1/2 (Mixed up categories) One of those lonely, romantic stone-houses by the sea you see from boat or from a hill, and you think can simply dream of it because it seems impossible to find out who it belongs to or how to rent it the dream can come true. Hidden gem lives up to its name. As it is hidden, you will have to drive to reach it. The road leads waaay down, you need save driving skills and you will be guided by one of the lovely hosts from beautiful Nono Ban hotel. Hidden Gem itself is a hideaway that provides a vacation living with the elements. It is a typical Croatian type stone house that fits in the landscape so harmonically that you need to look twice to discover it. I love about it that it is designed clear-lined, straight, cutting down shapes to their essence. No unnecessary tingletangle-type dirtcatchers, no aged ruffle curtains, only fresh, clear, inviting rooms. That makes the high-class feeling to me. It is that feeling of essence, of life, of elements that gives it that special touch I think. To me, the wood from the roof, you can see it looking up, is a highlight itself. Another highlight? The window from one of the two bedrooms, allowing to gaze around, see the sky (very shining Venus I guess is the one greeting the night, shing over the hills on you right handside), your private bay, and the holm oak tree on left side of you window. It is an accommodation that justs allows you to do what is best: just live. Hidden gem is constructed in a way that respects nature and its elements. It uses solar energy for yeah, everything you need. Practical advice for people travelling with children: after some colder days that can mean that warm water is limited by nature. Our lovely host from Nono Ban provided us with every possible comfort and help, always. (So with the internet it was bit of a challenge, yet we were even sent a new device and repair service came along.)

Another practical advice to families: have more than one eye on your children on the outside the stonewall is beautifully as a poem, invites to sit down, but is high above bush and sea. Last practical advice? There is a seastar, one of that big red ones, living right at the end of the stone way leading to your private bay, just some meters from the beginning of the beach.
