  : The views were magnificent. The house was very large and roomy, it had 2 bathrooms. Kitchen looked lovely but basic kitchen utensils poor.
  : Very difficult to reach. No road access with heavy suitcases. Nearly 200 steps up from port. We had to carry our own luggage and we were all over 70. The location was beautiful but steps all round up and down.

  : Lovely views from the terrace. Fully equipped kitchen.Aircon in all bedrooms. Owners very helpful and welcoming. Apartment very spacious , we liked having our own entrance and the privacy aspect. 2 shower rooms which were away from the bedrooms. Stunning spacious entrance hall. Felt like we were stepping back in time. Linen and towels changed during the week.There is a washing machine which can be used for a 4 euro charge. There were only 2 of us so we had so much space , so would be plenty of room for 6 or seven .Also: Be aware you are only renting downstairs of the house as owners live upstairs. Overall we had a really lovely stay
  : As per other reviews the 180 steps may be a problem for some.We are very familiar with Symi so we knew what to expect , however we did find it quite a struggle in the heat.Be aware if you go down to harbour area to eat then you will need to trudge back up afterwards! It's about same amount of steps again to go up into the village but then you only need to walk down after your meal! Beds were a little uncomfortable , the double is only a 4ft 6 so was too small for us as we are both tall.

  : Large, two nice bathrooms, a/c in each bedroom, lovely patio area overlooking the harbour.
  : Wasnt clear from the posting on booking.com that the villa was halfway up the Kali Strata with around 150 steps to go up and down each day and evening to the beautiful old town or equally picturesque harbour area and water taxi to the glorious beaches. This could have been a real problem for two of the less able of us but fortunately wasnt. Lugging the bags up and down also had to be thought about.

  : The location is amazing. The host is a very nice guy. Helped us a lot to settle. The apartment is spacious and the view is breathtaking. The kitchen is super organized.
  : The beds are a bit old. I would request the hosts to provide with additional bedsheet or blanket if they can. You have to walk quite a lot (Around 10-15 mins) to reach the nearby supermarket or Taverna. My wife has a knee problem. She found it a bit difficult to take those beautiful yet effort taking steps. Using the Washing machine would cost you additional 4 euro per usage.

  : A/c in the rooms (the place is not overly hot but, despite being a very small island, nightlife is incredibly noisy up to very late - you can't really sleep with windows open).
  : When booking, I was captured by a picture with frescos on the ceiling, just to discover upon arrival that it is in another apartment (unaccessible to guests). You don't get the villa but just the lower floor (the landlors live upstairs). While you can infer the house is uphill, you might not be prepared to over 200 steps (there's no other way in) with lugagge (or to go any directions afterwards), as there is no indication of this on the listing. In this context, not to offer guests with basics (water -on the island is not drinkable-, kitchen paper or napkins, shampoo or similar, some fruit or juices) means an additional 400 steps of back & forth and this is something I wouldn't do to my guests (especially as the landlords keep entering the apartment unannounced repeatedly, when you're in or out alike; update: we left early morning for breakfast on the last day, upon return, ahead of check out time, we found the cleaner inside, and she had already removed our items, such as sheets, and cleaned the rooms). Kitchen excepted, the apartment and the furniture are quaint, and there is no living area (the small terrace is overwhelmed with sun from 10am to 7.30pm). Also, cheap the request of 4 euro extra to use the washing machine (not that we needed that). In sum, the overwhelming positive reviews are incomprehensible to me (but this is not the first time, unfortunately). I would simply not have chosen this apartment, had description and reviews been more realistic.

  : The location is perfect, halfway up the Kali Strata and the view of the harbour is amazing. We liked sitting out on the terrace in the evenings and it is on the shady side of the bay in the mornings, so it doesn't get too hot. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed
  : It is a shame that we were not allowed to use the washing machine.

  : This is a spacious property with magnificent views, a superb kitchen, and is kept immaculately clean. it was great for our family group of three adult couples since it has three separate bedrooms - something of a rarity on the island. The windows are large and plentiful and this, together with the beautifully restored window shutters and effective mosquito screens meant it was easy to keep the place airy and free of insects, while ensuring darkness at night and using the shutters to keep the place cool worked well. The effective air conditioning meant the bedrooms could me kept comfortable at night. The owner-host was friendly, helpful and a delight to meet.
