  : The fact that whenever you needed something the owner quickly responded.
  : We were sent photos of the apartment before we arrived and it looked ok, even the photo of the balcony but when we actually got there we realized that the apartment and balcony was below street level, which meant that cars would park virtually on top/next to the balcony, not only was it terribly noisy from 7 am onwards but a awful sight.The water heating system had a timer that you had to activate every time you wanted to shower ( leaving you with only 20-30 minutes time for everyone to do so), the owner changed the space of time for us but you should always have hot water available.The air conditioning was right on top of the bed which obviously could not be used at night due to the position so the room was stifling.Right next to the bed was the entrance door ( no problem) and on top of that was a big green exit light that switched on when lights were off, meaning that at night the room was lit with a green lightthis was covered up with a towel the next day by the owner. Such emergency exit lights are placed in lobbies and not in rooms for that there are smaller ones available.We should not need to ask for extra towels as these should be supplied along with the apartment and a change of these once every 4 days was too long to wait for.

  : Property was clean, host welcomed us and was at our disposal all the time, yet not assertive. It is very close to the beach and in excellent condition.
  : During the night due to busy neighbourhood I can get noisy, but nothing unbearable. Kitchen was missing some utensils like bottle opener and cutting board.

  : Sunset Apartments are a great choice if you want a base in Rethymno for spending time on the beach there as well as exploring the island of Crete. We got an excellent price for the basement apartment which was very cool, even in the soaring Greek heat! The beach is meters away, there's a limited amount of free parking (you can find more free parking places in the area too if needed) and there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants around. The apartment is well equipped and comfortable.

  : Location close to the beach. Clean and comfortable.
  : The staff was not so friendly. The bathroom need some improvements . Last but not least the studio was at basement level and cars are parked closed to your terrace.

  : Good location, convenient room, overall was ok
  : There was an odd smell, and the bathroom was not very convenient. Also the building must be old as you could tell from the torn up walls and the bathroom had turned yellow.

  : Quick response from the host, good communication. Easy to find and near to Rethymno centre. Clean, spacious flat. Host assisted us with our luggages as we came a bit earlier that the check in time.
  : No parking available at the property. There is "street parking" available for 2 cars on a first come first serve basis. There was no hot water in the bathroom and it was a bit chilly weather for that time of the year.
