: Well finished house with curved walls and authentic feel in good location in pyrgos. Great view from rooftop deck.
: Receptionist arrived an hour late after we had confirmed the 1500 check in we were offered. No sign or building number so without google we would never have found. Not pleasant once she did arrive. Cool tub that couldnt heat made the name of this place a bit deceptive.

: Sweet Nectar Villa is a lovely place in the beautiful, tranquil and romantic town of Pyrgos - as lovely as Oia but far less crowded, and with great ocean views looking towards Akrotiri light house and a small view of the caldera. Apart from the uphill carting of luggage, the house is easy to find and get to. Parking is about 200-300 metres away wherever you can find it on the street. We are really happy we chose Pyrgos as a location - it is an attraction itself with its churches, cave houses (which Nectar villa is), and great restaurants (try Francos for a rooftop cocktail, and Cavia Alta for dinner - the latter is a 10 second walk!). When we didn't fancy a walk, we could enjoy the sunset views from the roof terrace of the villa - one of the best views we found!. The villa itself is spacious, and felt brand new. Our toddler and baby loved the space, and we really enjoyed cooking and eating dinner out in the small courtyard in an evening (going out for dinner is not always realistic with little people). The kitchen was generally well stocked (although things like oven gloves, a sharp chef's knife, and somewhere to dry clothes would have really helped). The main bedroom is cosy with a comfy bed, the bathroom is lovely, and the downstairs second sleeping area (the room with the dugout) has a really great sofa bed. The villa also provided us with a baby cot free of charge which was great, and housekeeping comes daily to clean and replenish towels meaning the place stayed spotless. All in all a great stay in a great place in a great house. As long as you hire a car, getting to Fira (20 min drive) and Oia (35-40 min drive) are easy, and finding amenities such as markets are no problem. we would definitely consider staying both in Pyrgos and in the Sweet Nectar Villa again.
: The so called 'hot tub' was at best 30 degrees. We still loved it (the cooler temperature meant our kids could go in it), but sometimes it felt really quite cool and it would have been nice to have it a bit warmer. Secondly, the Wifi is pretty rubbish. Not only is it weak (only really works in the lounge), it is also quite slow. This may be an issue with the area in general (as I struggled to get internet signal on my phone most of the time), but not sure.
