  : Everything was great. very beautiful building, very clean.

  : The fact that the downstairs restaurant was closed to guests as there was a function. Nothing was said at the time of booking. Also only street parking was available and this was not clear either. We could not sit outside on the terrace because there was a function.

  : Great restaurant, beautiful room, excellent location. Part of a reputable french hospitality group with one ancestor receiving the Legion dHoneur for good cooking. The house belonged to a pharmacist that made a fortune with liquors.
  : Although the above mentioned positives, the unprofessional reception team managed to organise demolition ( hahah, yes) works at 8 in the morning, waking us up brutally, without any humane respect for guests. Very rude receptionist. Adding insult to injury, instead of offering us lunching to compensate somehow for the disastrous sleep, he offered an espresso and a side dish( 8 euros) He said he wanted to offer us breakfast( but we were trying to sleep in the house of horrors at that precise hour!), and that is it: we missed the opportunity( hahah, that rude, yes) Then they offered an alcoholic apperitive beverage that we didnt take because we were driving ( duh!)Another missed great opportunity! In the end, he deducted from the whole ammount the value of the breakfast, upon my complaint. Upon doing that he asked: Is this cut in price going to help you bring back your sleep? So no remorse whatsoever, mocking innocent guests who mistakingly overnighted in the hotel. My response was: No, it is going to help you learn not to summon jackhammer Monday 8 oclock (demolition team was outsourced; the receptions only job was to organise them from 12 oclock onwards, but that is too much to ask for when you do not care) Though I doubt he will ever learn respecting humans.

  : The hotel is beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful. The superior rooms were generous, nicely decorated, with a nice balcony. The bathroom was spacious and very stylish. We ate at the restaurant twice for dinner, and it was pretty good, and eating out on the terrace overlooking their garden is a treat. We were happy to have a dog-friendly hotel for our 2 little (4Kg and 5Kg), well-behaved and non-shedding Havanese. Voiron itself is not very interesting, a sort of bedroom community, but the hotel is a few minutes walk to the train station, and it is a 15-20 minute train ride to Grenoble.
  : The shower, although very stylish and works well, is badly put together such that water eventually leaves large puddles around on the floor. Most of what we ate at the restaurant was quite good, but the cuttlefish was too crunchy for my taste, even when they kindly made it again ( I love well-grilled cuttlefish but it needs to be tender). When it came to paying the bill, they charged us 30 euros per dog and per night (which is 54% of the cost of each night advertised on the web, more about this coming up)! We had been travelling with them for 2 weeks, and all hotels we stayed at charged us only for one dog, ranging from 10 to 25 euros for the entire stay as they could see how small and tidy they were. When asked about this on departure, the answer is that some clients come with very large dogs that shed and make a mess that takes a lot of work to clean up, which I can understand, but perhaps they can think of something more proportional in terms of cost... Furthermore, I checked what the price was per night for the last night we stayed, and it was 111 euros, while we were charged 169 euros. We booked the hotel 2 months in advance, so perhaps the prices went down, but I would expect them to adjust to the current prices. I stupidly did not mention this on departure as we were in a rush to leave for home.
