: The location is great, easy access to the city of Auxerre and the house and garden are very pretty
: Faulty Towers comes to France!!! wrong room allocated despite me paying for a luxury room at 165 Euros a night, this was because the host assumed we were another couple who had booked 3 months ago but had not yet arrived, she did not check names properly and when the German couple did arrive, she told them they had not booked, the host then showed me the room we should have had but put the other couple in it as we had already unpacked. wrong info on Booking.Com, ticked dinner at house, it was not available, host seemed surprised and told me she does not cook. rude and overfamiliar host who sat on our bed for 10 minutes along with her cat and then told me that asking for breakfast at 8.30 instead of her preferred time of 9am was making her life very difficult, I was told breakfast was more like brunch and that is why they need to serve it later HOWEVER, breakfast was very very poor and the only fare on offer was in the form of carbs, croissants, bread and brioche and a very odd breakfast option of crme caramel, no protein, no eggs, no fruit etc, this was obviously money saving as she does not have guests day in and out, my husband asked for eggs which they reluctantly bought to him, he asked for poached, they gave him fried as it was easier for them to make!!!! Also, during our breakfast before the other guests came down, the host sat at a table near to ours and watched us eat, we felt very uncomfortable with this and couldn't wait to escape. VERY ODD ALL ROUND., not going back.
