  : Pierre, the host, was very welcoming and spoke excellent English. The evening meal was very good and great value for the money. Breakfast was not so good though.I wanted to change the pillows because they smelled terribly and that was done immediately without any problems. Another good point was that we weren't charged for the dog.
  : The room!! It was awful. It smelt disgusting. Once we'd changed the pillows and opened the window and left it for a couple of hours it wasn't quite as bad. We considered moving hotels but as it was only there for one night and late, we stayed.There were cobwebs hanging from the wall light over the bed and in the corners. It could have done with a small table, the only table was a tiny one beside the bed or you could use the window sill. Our room overlooked the main road, so we were woken early by the noise from the traffic. I have to say that, as we were leaving our room we saw a couple of the other rooms and they looked a better than the one we were in.

  : Fabulous location (beautiful small town and this hotel is very central). Good value for money. The owner offered me his private garage to store my motorbike overnight. Dinner service was good and lovely food. Very clean, comfy bed and big bathroom.
  : Access to the room is up an old spiral staircase, which is wonderfully quirky but really awkward with heavy bags. The room smelled of damp but was spotlessly clean.
