  : The village of Jonquires has no shops, restaurants or bars, so could not find an evening meal without driving.

  : Our host Isabelle was absolutely lovely. A warm friendly greeting and a good tour of the facilities upon arrival. She also prepares the breakfast. Breakfast was delicious with homemade jams - try the melon one it may surprise you how good it is! As we were travelling long distances, with time constraints, our greatest regret was to stay only one night. This is definitely worth a 3 or more night stay as there are so many interesting areas around this region. It was lovely to have the refreshments area - Tea, coffee, snacks, wine, beer and cold drinks available to buy. This has been missing at some other locations we have stayed. The grounds and pool are beautiful, as well as the Chateau.
  : A couple of small things only. Having travelled from overseas, we did not carry towels. It would be very helpful to have pool towels provided in the rooms as this avoids the need to ask. An iron and ironing board too would be good to have. I did not like to ask, due to inconvenience of someone having to traverse the chateau carrying everything. A small bar fridge would be great, in the room also. As a family travelling long distances we were carrying some items of food, drinks and water bottles to refill and chill for the car journey. In part to help reduce our plastic waste by having to buy new ones frequently. Thankfully though there was a shared fridge available in the downstairs corridor area. Which we could borrow some space in. The restaurant we went to in the village 2km up the hill was not somewhere we would eat again. The woman who served us was nice. But the food was not.
