  : This family hotel venture must have been one of blood, sweat, tears and an occasional is it with it thought. The result is a unique hotel which has resulted in what the owners desired, and not the conventional hotel of bathroom on the right/left and then a room.Details are details and all attention has been paid to these. Much is self fabricated i.e. the bathroom vanity unit; the bedroom wall lights etc. The choice of furniture shows excellent taste especially with the simple but classic old style wardrobes.The owners are still modernising and working all hours. Sadly, we were not able to taste dinners cooked by the lady of the house however hearing chit chat from others it seems this was a delight.Location through wine growing areas to say, Agde, Bouzigues, Marseillan, Pezenas, Sete etc is easy - 15 mins to 45 mins.

  : This old property has been tastefully renovated in the last year or so and was perfectly located for our visit to Margon. The decor is typically French, in a good way, and we had a large bedroom on the first floor. The air conditioning worked perfectly, a must in a heatwave. The bathroom was spacious with a big walk-in shower, and plentiful hot water. The auberge has a lovely pool in the garden, which was so welcome on a hot day. The restaurant wasnt open during our stay, but there is an excellent restaurant and pizzeria, Le Petit Margonnaise, just a couple of minutes walk away.I would definitely recommend LAuberge du Chteau.
