  : Beautiful Chateau / country house. The rooms are decorated in period style and have so much character. It's very nice. The view from the terrace of the countryside was magnificent. We loved our stay there.

  : beautiful petit chteau and garden, mixture of discrete classiness and french nonchalance, a perfect "bourgeois bohmien" surrounding, everything was relax.
  : one of the three beds in our room was dreadful, breakfast in the garden was very good except for the coffee.

  : I booked a room for one night for me and a friend, based on the Chateaus location, interesting appearance, dog-friendly status, and availability of food - described on booking.com with a restaurant and with a banner breakfast included. One of these things lived up to the advertised property - location which was stunning - but all other aspects were sorely missing. The interiors of the chateau, including our room, were very clean and quirky, which was fun to encounter initially. We had a laugh at the situation and agreed that the experience was like spending 12 hours in a Hitchcock film. We loved walking around the grounds and local footpaths, and had a splendid meal of local meat at the restaurant of Hotel La Reconce, which Id highly recommend, unlike the Chateau.
  : On making my booking, I was messaged to say there was no restaurant or dinner available. They recommended a local restaurant. I explained that we would arrive after a long drive which is why I had looked for a place where we could eat without going out again. I therefore asked if this restaurant was walking distance and was told it was. On arrival we discovered it was a short drive but a 30 minute walk down a road with no lights so very unsafe for a walk at night, so not well described as walking distance and we drove. Whilst fun to encounter the quirky interiors, they were outdated and uncomfortable. Bed was so soft you fell into it and woke up with a sore back, shower attachment to wall and shower curtain were not available (instead a bizarre painting hung in the place were it could have been) so you had to have a bath or squat to shower. The lady who met us (definitely not greeted us!) was inhospitable on all encounters. When asked for a cup of hot water at night for my tea she looked affronted and rolled her eyes at me. When at breakfast a very runny jam in a tightly closed jar spilt over my friend, the same lady avoided helping with a cloth and instead gave another look of distain. Other guests were whispering in conversation with each other and us, which was the affect of the uncomfortable hospitality.I also noted that a dog bowl was never made available throughout the stay so the place is barely dog or human -friendly!
