  : The location was nice.
  : The night porter, who is also the owner, was terribly rude. The fuse tripped as we were putting the kids to bed leaving the appartment with no light at all and some frightened kids. I went quickly to the reception to ask for help. I was received as a nuisance by the night porter who asked me what we had done to trip the fuse! "Did you use the hobs?" (we did nothing) He eventually came to turn some fuse back, so I could go back in the building. I had to go back to the reception when I realised the apartment still had no light. It took a while before I spotted the night porter who was even ruder than the first time. Not willing to help. Finished by shouting at me, and suggesting he would call the police or the fire-brigade. I was polite and smiled all the way through seeing how heated he became. I came back to the flat all upset and shaken. In the morning, when we checked out, I related the event to the lady at the desk. She apologised but sadly did not seem overly surprised.

  : We've stayed in this hotel quite a few times and love the location and parking on the street outside is usually pretty easy. The river view is nice and the road outside isn't too noisy. The Air-conditioning was great. The restaurant food is usually pretty good.
  : The ceiling and walls of our room were paper thin and the people upstairs were pounding around for hours in the evening and we could hear them using the bathroom. Breakfast was very disappointing, no cereal or fruit. Dinner in the restaurant was not as good as usual and the service was very slow.

  : Able to make a late booking (which turned out to be untrue) - website misleading owner refused entry.
  : Refused entry even though the site allows late evening arrival, a lot later than I wanted to arrive. There was and still are options to arrive late, booker beware! I booked to arrive between 2200/2300. Called hotel was told he didn't speak English, put the phone down on me. Called back with someone who could speak fluent French person to call back, told "hotel full" "he's closed" "I don't take late bookings". He was shouting and quite aggressive verbally and not willing to help. Unfortunately there were no other options and forced to travel through the night. I would hate for this to happen to someone else.

  : The view is lovely- overlooking the River Cher The beds were comfortable and the chambermaids were wonderful at working around my 91 year old Mum The lift worked.
  : We couldnt make breakfast as it finished too early for my mum to be comfortably ready to dine in the dining room Front door was locked at 10am. Re-opened in the afternoon and shut again at 10pm sharp. We were given a code for the back door which is fine for most people but my Mum had to climb 20+ steps to the 1st floor to access the lift on the 1st floor. ( Not able to access lift on ground floor from this door) The hotel is very dated decor-wise and the attitude of male receptionist(owner?) was unwelcoming. I felt I was at Fawlty Towers!!
