  : Booked a 1 night stay at this hotel to break a 9 hour drive across France. Upon arrival, the hotel had the room ready but had lost our dinner reservation and suggested we may have rung the wrong number! Our call history evidenced that we had called them for a reservation 2 weeks earlier. Despite our requests, they could not fit us in as they were fully booked and suggested we try another restaurant in the town - which turned out to be closed. They did offer us a dessert and a glass of vouvray but after a 5 hour journey - we were looking forward to a full meal at their restaurant. We paid for breakfast the next day - which was very good, but given the circumstances, should not have been charged. The hammam was also out of service in the spa - so overall - a disappointing experience.

  : The hotel is aesthetically pleasing both inside and out as are the grounds. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Even though we directly faced the main road and train station our room was wonderfully quiet due to the windows in the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom was very clean. The grounds were nice to walk on with our dog and nice and clean too. There was ample parking and the car park felt nice and secure as well. The hotel is in a good location for the motorway.
  : The aircon unit in the room was very loud and kept leaking water overnight leaving a large puddle on the floor. The floor was very slippery for our dog so this is something to keep in mind for those travelling with dogs as it could cause an injury if they were to slip on the floor. There was no hand-wash, shower gels etc in the bathroom and there was no basic amenities in the room such as a kettle and some tea/coffee. The hotel was very overpriced in my opinion for what it offers, it priced on the story/history behind the hotel.
