  : The room hadnt been cleaned, the carpet hadnt been hoovered, the bath had someones hairs in it, the shower head had to be held as it didnt have the same fitting as the wall holder, the curtains didnt close and the electric mechanism to open and close them didnt appear to be connected to the curtains, the curtains themselves were grubby, there was rubbish under the bed from previous occupants, repairs had been made to the room but to an disinterested amateur standard, all walls were grubby and marked and all the furnishings were poor. The area outside is the station car park and a hangout at night for alcoholics and drug users who make there presence known by shouting, screaming, fighting and with their dogs barking incessantly. The hotel has a confused Scottish style that is an insult to the Scottish. I was looking forward to a warm, cordial Scottish welcome and even having drinks in the bar but it was clear that this was a fantasy of the owners.
