Chalets of Ibex - Beautiful spacious apartment Cerf

  : This self catering apartment was more than adequately funished (except for consulables like toilet papers etc). Location is not bad as walk to lift ok and near bus stop. Top floor so good views - and the little extra deck is v nice. It was very clean - although drains smelled so not perfect mark.
  : The name/address for the apartments in the Booking.com description was not correct and that made it very difficult to locate the place on arrival. There is no Ibex in the correct name of the place. The word Ibex is included ine the name for place next door - but that is NOT the one advertised by booking.com. The correct name is Chalets du Bouquetin. Ringing one of the contact numbers given did not help as it put me through to a call centre in Vietnam and they did not know location, and could not even confirm booking as the confirmation number they wanted did not relate to booking.com confirmation number. This meant we ended up wasting a few hours and added immenmsley to stress as the agent used by owner implied we did not have a booking. It was only after standing in streets and shouting for the name of the owner we found apartment. Getting the right address name is basic stuff. When I told the owner (and the agent they use), they suggested it was a booking.com problem - and showed no willingness to resolve for next users. They did not seem to understand the probelms this causes or care. And that should have been a warning.... I should add that the chalet smelled everytime when came back inside - drains issue - and was tired. Minimum done by owner in the last few years. The second bedroom was so small it was ridiulous - not possible to stand up in it. No sharp knifes and other items etc. Oven vents not working. No enough lights to easily read by. Demanding cash payment for extras (tax) seemed odd. Requirement we stripped beds etc because of "covid rules" equally spurious. This could have been good but was penny pinched to point of ruining experience. I will not stay here again - even though we now know where it is.
