  : The reception staff at the bar were polite and professional although appeared shocked when we said we had a reservation!
  : Apart from the bar area where we booked in, It smelt of dirt, sweat and weed. The bed looked slept in, other clientele of the hotel loitering around the place within the hotel and car park. The whole place felt unsafe. The window in the room was open although the handle was in the locked position and pushed to giving the impression of being secure although access was easy from outside - had it been left like this deliberately? This window led onto an easily accessible fire escape/stair case and it looked as if this had been used as an entrance point. Broken lock on the pedestrian rear entrance to the car park and people wandering in and out from the street. Jemmy marks on doors within the property. I watched an apparent drug deal at the rear entrance (small item handed over in exchange for cash) in an attempted discreet manner. A male menacingly approached my wife at the rear of the hotel only to walk away when I got out of the car (fortunately) although he only walked a few steps before scanning up and down the road from the doorway of a kebab shop. My spider senses were on full alert and it felt like the area, particularly at the rear of the hotel was full of problems. I shouldve researched all of this before making my booking but was rushing as we were in a hurry to find a place to stay. Ive since done the necessary research and have discovered that there are social issues in the area and the crime rate is higher than the national average. You can even book a room at this hotel for a couple of hours during the day should you wishWe subsequently drove an hour up the road and found a great place to stay.

  : Couldn't open the window on a hot night. There was only a fire escape window / door onto the fire escape and it wasn't safe to leave it open for ventilation. With no air conditioning it was difficult to sleep.
