: This former farm property is located at the end of a long cul de sac that is in a tranquil, semi-rural area on the outskirts of Boulazac. The only sounds to be heard were the chirping of the birds and the occasional bleat of the sheep in the adjacent field (absolutely fabulous). The property is one of several Gites and is well equipped and comfortable. There is a swimming pool and children's play area on site. There is also an area dedicated to parking at the entrance. Extensive views across the valley are enjoyed from the property. The attractions of Perigueux and the Dordogne are easily accessed by car. We found the host pleasant and accomodating.
: We assumed that we would be met at the check-in time but were mistaken, It is important to arrange an arrival time with the hosts who are off-site, (particularly on a Sunday evening in France) We consequently had considerable difficulty contacting the Hosts to ascertain the correct property and find the keys. Fortunately, another resident came to our aid, was more successful in contacting the hosts, and was able to relay the appropriate directions. The oven at our property used bottled gas which was turned off with no instructions as to its use. Again this poor unfortunate resident had to come to our aid, and we managed to turn on the regulator only to find none of us smoked so we were unable to light the oven. (The other resident's property was all electric)The host was contacted again and on this occasion met us at the property with a box of matches. Whilst we were able to connect with Wifi we were unable to access the internet. The Gite needs refurbishment, but it has superb potential!

: Clean. Lovely pool. Quiet and peaceful except for 2 short stays by French people who talked over each other very loudly!! Lovely setting on a farm but very close to shops etc. Friendly owners. We were lucky that, during our 8 night stay, we had the place to ourselves most of the time. Goats and sheep were delightful.
: The stairs up to the bedrooms are like a ladder and we had to use them very carefully. Would not suit a lot of people. WiFi unreliable. Only 1 downstairs toilet which had no window for fresh air. Coming down in the night was a bit treacherous on those stairs!
