Property with 2 bedrooms in Biscarrosse with shared pool and enclosed garden 12 km from the beach

  : We have been to the area previously, it was still excellent
  : The accommodation was old and tired and smelled damp and musty on arrival. It was in poor repair with very loose and dangerous steps to the decking and the interior was in poor repair. Beds uncomfortable, the gas ran out twice during our stay and the boiler blew up twice during our stay. I was in communication with Booking.com and the owner constantly and discussed compensation however, as yet I have not had any communication. I expect to receive communication by Friday 18th August 2023 or I will escalate to the ombudsman. I have many, many photos and videos, all the messages I sent you and the owner and all the call records from when I was supposed to be enjoying my holiday but I was instead arranging for gas to be changed, moving accommodation for the repairs to the boiler, speaking to you and the owner constantly and then my wife and family being very nervous to use the hot water and shower incase the boiler blew up again, which it did with me standing very close to it. I was told by one of your team I had to resolve this issue with the owner but another said he would discuss compensation with the owner but I have heard nothing yet. My solicitor says that this is your liability and so I request that you settle this formal claim for compensation with me.
