  : The hostess/owner had a completely intransigent and unsympathetic attitude towards my wife's medical requirement for gluten-free options. If you are Coeliac, do not book this hotel!

  : The hotel is a rural country inn surrounded on three sides by farm fields. The pool is very nice and well maintained. It was a hot day so the first thing we did after arriving at the hotel was to take a dip in the pool. Later the same day we had a beautifully presented and delicious meal on the patio of the restaurant. It was so quiet and peaceful that we could hear the flames of the hot air balloons floating by in the distance. The views are amazing! While we were eating outside on the patio, we had a view of the gardens of Marqueyssac and Castlenaud-la-chapelle. The menu was all from local farms. The owners Lydie and Giles were very kind and helpful. We took a train from Bordeaux to Sarlat and then a taxi to the hotel. Taxi service is difficult to use here. We had reservations to take a canoe trip down the Dordogne starting at Dome but no way to get there. Lydie tried four different taxi services and they were all not available. She then spoke with her husband Giles, who is also the chef, and he gave us a ride to Dome in his own car and refused to accept any money. While we were at Canoe Loisirs, Giles spoke to the manager and arranged for them to take us back to the hotel. It was very gracious of him to do that for us.
  : It's difficult to get there if you don't have a car. The water pressure in the shower was not the best and there was no air conditioning. With the windows open and the fan on, we slept comfortably. Also, the wifi is outdated and slow. Keep in mind that this is a small hotel in the French countryside. Any minor inconvenience was compensated with great service, fresh, delicious locally sourced food, a nice pool, and great views from the patio.
