  : We didnt have a car which made it difficult to go into the town centre. Taxis were difficult to book. Although our host very kindly drove us into town one evening. Our only option was to walk.

  : Villa Aristide is a beautifully decorated manor house with unique personality and charm. Thanks to the owner, we felt the human and aesthetic touch, part classic, part whimsy. The historic house is situated on the edge of Bergerac, a 10-15 minutes by foot along the riverwalk. Breakfast is delicious, the gardens equally sweet. Advice about Bergerac restaurants, which are excellent and good value, is impeccable. Highly recommended.
