  : Beautiful building in a lovely setting. The rooms, shared spaces and terrace are attractively decorated and arranged. The room was spacious and very comfortable with stylish decoration and a very nice bathroom. I loved sitting by the window drinking my coffee and taking in the ambiance. The general manager Sbastien was keen to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
  : The property missed in the details Id expect at this level. Theres no information in the room about the area, breakfast, etc. Theres a kettle in the room (much appreciated) but the coffee was Maxwell House rather than a brand youd expect from somewhere with a gastronomic restaurant. Theres very basic bottled water in the fridge. I have had complimentary sparkling in hotels I have paid less for. The coffee wasnt refilled when the room was made up the next day. When we went to the restaurant for dinner, appetisers arrived very quickly but despite a wealth of staff around we had to ask for menus after 15mins of waiting (no water, wine,..). It seems like nitpicking but when spending this amount to stay per night without breakfast included, I do expect the details to match the level the hotel sets itself.

  : No alternative to the a la carte restaurant. Out of town, so had to walk into Chateauneuf du Pape as we wanted to do wine tasting and therefore couldnt drive . No taxis readily available

  : Staff were very friendly and very helpful. The view across the vineyard is stellar, especially at sunset. Dinner on-site was delicious with attentive staff. We enjoyed the small pool. Special kudos to the reception staff who went out of her way to ensure we had all that we needed.

  : The location was everything you would expect from a chateau overlooking vineyards...dreamy! our room had its own private little patio and gate to the pool that made our stay all the more special. We had dinner outdoors (it was starting to get slightly chilly in the final week of September) but the food and views kept you from thinking about the chill in the air.
  : Having arrived during the dinner service on the first night of our stay, it was a bit odd dragging our luggage through the tables of diners and then being checked in hurriedly by the lady who was doubling as the sommelier for the evening. The only complaint about the room was that the ensuite was designed so that in order to get to the bath tub and sink, one had to walk through a smaller room that housed the toilet. A minor malodourous inconvenience.
