: About the place hardly anything. I could not recommend it. The City is attractive and merits a visit.
: This is a very small 4 floor walkup place in a run down building. It is cramped. I was unpleasantly shocked when I first entered the building and the place. There are three pegs to hang clothes on at the door where a mop and a large fan were located. I think I got lots of bites on my forehead last night. The neighborhood is run down, but the lady who gave me the keys said it was the part of town named the Sixt. How was I supposed to know what that means? I will be more careful next time and probably stay in a hotel to ensure some level of better quality. There is no "staff." I asked the owner to send me emails, but did not get them from her. She apparently sent me messages that I did not see. I am having problems connecting to the world, so part of this is my fault. As usual one needs to be careful about inexpensive places. Large areas of Aix are beautiful, and I only had a chance to see part of it. The walking tour of Aix sponsored by the Office of Tourism was informative and made me think I need to give Aix a second chance for a visit someday. Arriving by car is difficult because many streets are now one way or cut off. I parked in the Rotunda garage that cost 50 euros for almost 2 days, but I would have had no idea how to get to my place if I had parked further away. Everyone in the city seems to be very nice.

: I was not warned about the narrow three flights of stairs that wind and wind very steeply to third floor. I asked about this upfront when I booked the room but got no response. It is June in Aix-en-Provence and extremely hot outside. 35-40 degrees outside and probably 43 in the room at mid day. I’m just warning other people who have heavy bags and don’t like steep and narrow stairs. Summer is not a good season for this room.
