  : I have two words for this place: VIEW and STAFF. Waking up each day to a view of the Picos was the highlight of my holiday and eating the home-cooked food and home-grown produce in the hotel's restaurant, served by the owners themselves made me feel like I was a family guest. The location is nearby the lovely town of Potes - close enough to walk - but also rural enough to make you really feel like you're in nature.
  : Having to let them know each day that I wanted breakfast the next morning was a bit of a pain, as I would have preferred to just commit to an option (half board or not) was a bit of a pain to remember, and it was a bit stressful to know that if I arrived back hungry from hiking in the evening and hadn't booked dinner, I might have to just eat the snacks I'd brought with me because no one was around to cook. There wasn't a pay-by-card option and I couldn't find anyone the last morning I was there and needed to pay, so I ended up just leaving cash and hoping it was the right amount. I liked the relaxed style but appreciate a system so I can just arrange everything in advance and relax.

  : Very pleasant renovated old property with views of the Picos and access to a Pilgrim trail into the mountains a short step across the river.Breakfast available. Hosts very welcoming with garden and terrace access. Potes for restaurants 3kms away with parking and good restaurants: La Barricas terrace has great view of the medieval castle, La Sol de Rei has great atmosphere. Both had very good food.

  : Authentic. Mountain view. Nice balcony to sit out on. Home grown produce. Can eat evening meal in garden with view of picos. Out of the way but just off main road and short trip to Potes (3k) which is very lively, picturesque and has good parking..
  : No air con that I could find.
