  : Very friendly and helpful staff. It's in a blissful location away from the hustle of resort towns. The kitchen was properly equipped and the grill was a nice touch. Pool was great to have to cool off. Feels like you stepped back in time.
  : It definitely has a rustic feel, which is of course part of the charm of staying in the countryside. The beds weren't too comfortable. Although everything was very clean. The bedroom has a bit of a cave-like feel to it, which we did not like. But this is part of the charm of an old place. Part of the package. Also the whole apartment had a bit of a musty smell to it. Again, maybe part of the rustic experience. Nothing was bad and we still enjoyed our stay, but we've definitely stayed in more comfortable places for a similar price.

  : The house is in a wonderful countryside location, surrounded by fields and you can really see the stars at night. Breakfast in the little terrace is magic too

  : Not a lot.
  : Overall it was very disappointing. It generally felt very unloved and a bit run down. There was damp smell was in the kitchen cupboard - every plate glass etc had to be washed before it could be used as it smelt of damp and mold. On the gas stove top only one light worked properly and the wardrobe in the bedroom smelt slightly moldy too. On the first night it got cold and we asked for the heating to be turned on only to be told no and that the heating only went on in November (it was mid October). They told us we could light a fire the next night and we might have to leave a window open to make the fire draw. We bought wood (for another 12) and lit a fire - the chimney smoked so badly that we had to put it out. It wasn't just a little smoke - we had to open all the doors and windows all night to get rid of the smoke. So not only were we cold but our eyes were streaming with the smoke. The next morning we decided to leave and they admitted that the chimney had not been inspected or swept. They offered us another apartment but again not heated so we decided to leave. They agreed to refund the two nights that were were not staying. (we only asked for the two nights although I feel a refund for all four nights was in order) I sent them my bank details as requested and then they decided not to make that refund and have stopped communication with us. I tried to resolve this but to no avail. Overall a bad experience especially as they went back on their word and did not refund our money. And by the way they said none of this was true - again very disappointing.
