  : The apartment is situated right next to the restaurants and beaches of Sant Mart d'Empries and has a private parking space (with plenty of shade) closeby. Despite its central location, it is quiet at night. During my stay, I spent most of the mornings and afternoons at the beach, but I appreciated having the apartment in walking distance as a cool oasis during the hottest hours of the day. Joan, the owner, provided me with plenty of useful information ahead of my arrival, including a short video showing the exact location of the parking space. That's customer service at its best!
  : The room was clean, but had a bit of a weird smell to it. The perfumated pouches hung in the room as a countermeasure didn't improve this and actually gave me a bit of a headache. I removed them and made it a habit to keep the windows open during the morning hours, which I think worked much better. If you're an early bird, it's near-impossible to find breakfast in Sant Mart. Fortunately, I don't mind a morning walk and I found many breakfast options in L'Escala.
