  : Beach was 15 15-minute drive away, airport was 35 minutes away and Alicante was 40 minutes away all by car. The apartment was modern and the two bedroom two bathrooms were spacious. Air conditioning. Not far from a supermarket.
  : No drawers in the bedroom except a small bedside drawer. Not enough hangers. The towels were small and rough. Kitchen - no mugs/bowls/can opener and when I requested them I was told we couldn't have them so ended up having to buy our own! The kettle lid didn't open, extractor fan was broken. No English channels on the TV, the outside light on the patio was broken and there was a video camera pointing down from the neighbouring apartment wall into our patio area. No option for housekeeping service, so had to buy toilet paper, bin bags, kitchen roll, washing-up liquid, and dishwasher tablets. Had a power cut caused by an outage in the apartment and although they sent an electrician he couldn't find the fault and had to call an expert. Eventually, it was fixed but not before every powerpoint had been opened up and they left behind all the mess that we had to clean up. However, the worst issue was that the first two nights we couldn't sleep due to the noise from a live music venue next to the apartments and a bar opposite that encouraged their customers to drink a lot and sing loudly on the karaoke machine so with some reluctance the staff at the hotel reception agreed to move us. The apartments are part of the hotel and according to the listing on Booking.com there are a variety of facilities including tennis, bike hire, spa facilities and much much more however, none of this is available to clients who have booked the apartments. There is a large pool for hotel guests which we were not allowed to use and there was a small plunge pool for one-half of the apartments and a larger pool for the other apartments. The small plunge pool was dirty and the larger pool was having building work done directly outside it which mean noise, dust and dirt from 8 AM - even if you wanted to risk it there is no seating and you have to sit on the artificial grass which gets boiling hot in the sun and I am unable to sit on the floor anyway, plus why should I.
