: Location was good, close to Moriaira, and friends were staying down the road. The house and compound is nice, though a bit tatty.
: Hot water was poor - showers were not very warm, and no hot water at all at night (2200-0600).

: Hope is an older style 3 bedroom villa on a good sized plot in an urban area. It has a good sized swimming pool on a large sun terrace and even has a view of the coast. It was well equipped with plenty of cutlery, china and glasses and had both an indoor and outdoor kitchen area. The windows and doors had been updated to modern double glazed units with insect screens and security shutters. Gas was used for hot water and cooking in the indoor kitchen. We were familiar with the area as we had previously owned an apartment nearby and were able to visit friends etc.
: There were a few maintenance issues which we highlighted to the local agents. Quite a few external lights and even some internal lights were not working including the two bedside lamps in the main bedroom. There was a large screw/bolt sticking out the floor in the main bedroom, probably where a door catch was supposed to be. The electric kettle did not automatically cut out once it had reached boiling temperature because the lid did not close properly. The modern fridge/freezer had not been thoroughly cleaned and still contained ice cream from a previous tenant. The wrong sheets had been fitted to the double beds; the large bed had one large sheet and one medium sheet as had the smaller double bed. Although we were given a small welcome pack there was only one spare toilet roll, no kitchen roll and only two dishwasher tablets for a house designed for six people. Staying for over two weeks we would have expected to be offered a linen change. There were very few instructions on how to operate the TV system, the washing machine and other guides to using the house.
