Casa Rural Abadia Eiras is set on the banks of the Miño River and outside Goián. This restored 18th-century monastery offers a restaurant a terrace and charming rooms looking onto its gardens. The Abadia Eiras combines original elements such as exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings with attractive modern décor.

Offering river or mountain views all rooms have heating air conditioning and free WiFi. Staff can arrange bike rental canoeing rafting and paintball as well as wine tasting and catamaran excursions along the river. Local points of interest include the beach at Eiras and the archaeological sites at A Portela Torroso Chan do Rey and A Valga.

Eiras A Guarda and the Atlantic coastline are within 15 minutes’ drive of the Abada Eiras. From here you can take a boat across the Portuguese border to Caminha.

: Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a nice view to the river. The bathroom was especially large and modern and bright. Breakfast was very good.
: The information given on booking.com was not accurate. It stated that there was a restaurant which would be open at the time of our visit, but the restaurant is no longer open at all. Neither was there a cafe/ snack bar. We do not like to have to use our car again at the end of a long day iof driving, so we had to make do with a picnic in our room using things from our car coolbox. The receptionist amended the information on Booking.com layer that evening. I have reported the problem of mis-information to Booking.com.

: A little bit of grid (for us on bikes) but the property is quite amazing. A charming old building right next to some old church. We didnt meet any staff until the morning but check in was organised. Nice clean room and for some extra $$ we enjoyed lovely breakfast in the morning. As we were on our bikes, finding a dinner option (in the rain) was a bit of a challenge. Totally worth the experience!
