  : The apartment was clean, spacious and excellently located above the central square in Alcal. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped with lots of crockery and cutlery. The bathroom and shower were very good, with a strong flow of hot water (not always the case in Tenerife!) Both the main balcony and the large upstairs patio are great features. We would definitely return to this apartment.
  : The annual Alcala festival takes place in the first weekend in February and is centred in the plaza where the apartment is located. This is an enjoyable spectacle - and the churros were delicious! - but four successive nights of very loud music until after 04.00 was a bit too much for a couple in their 60's!! We had to kill a couple of cockroaches on arrival, but that's not uncommon in Tenerife, and once they were gone, all was well.

  : The apartment would benefit from air conditioning and we would have paid more for that facility.
