  : Location was convenient -- easy walk to Plaa Reial, the cathedral, even the beach (La Barceloneta). Plenty of nearby food choices (though many tourist traps in the area, too, especially on La Rambla). The unit was quite roomy, and the beds were comfortable (there were four of us: two parents and two teenaged boys). The unit also had plenty of pillows and also had fans, which was a great surprise as we're all used to running fans at night for both the breeze and white noise. It was a very comfortable place to sleep and close enough to the metro (Liceu) that it worked well as a base of operations.
  : While the location was convenient, it was on an unassuming side street that was rather dirty and a little unpleasant to walk through. But there was a nice "hole in the wall" bar just down the road that was pleasant, so that mostly made up for it :) The wifi was great at first, but much of the time we discovered it got extremely slow and sometimes did not work. We were able to use the "smart" features on the TV (for streaming video over the internet) only the first couple of nights, and we could not get it to work after that. The external laundry room was a little sketchy, and the door to it in a state of disrepair (the knob on the inside was broken). It was not clear if other tenants in the building shared the laundry room or if it was just for our unit, so we weren't sure if we could leave stuff in there for a few hours (like starting the wash and then going out for a meal and/or sight seeing).
