  : The location in a village in the mountains was nice, the food very afordable and tasty( you shoud try the local cidre). The hosts vere nice. Having a tostada at breakfast vas a bliss, we do not like the sweet breakfasts

  : The hotel is located in a small village a little off the main roads,, so you need to have your own transportation to get there. The hotel has a bar (separate from the guest rooms, so no troubles with noise), frequented by the locals. The hotel also has a relatively large dining hall and offers a good choice of food (a la carte but also a menu-of-the-day, even on Saturday evening).
  : We used this hotel, already several times on our way further down south into Spain. As we leave early, (between 5 and 6 am) breakfast is not yet available.

  : I loved the little town of Betelu. It is surrounded by mountains and has great views all around. A couple of small hikes can be done not too far away. The hostel house itself is cute old house with very authentic atmosphere. The restaurant downstairs is popular with locals and serves good wine for a good price.
  : Facilities are unsafe. I get that it's a small and cheap hostel on the road, but it should still be furnished safely. I was woken up in the middle of the night (3AM) by a mirror falling off of a wall in my bathroom. It broke some of my stuff while falling off and I was not compensated for that. I'm happy it didn't happen when I was using the bathroom, since that would have been very unsafe. The owner is very rude. I work with hospitality, so I'm really understanding, but they were acting totally unacceptable. In the morning I informed staff of the mirror that has fallen off and they acted that they do not speak english, so I showed them the photos I made at night and I checked out. Then I contacted them by chat to inform that this happened and I got blamed for everything. Terrible. Wifi is not working in the rooms. You need to go to the restaurant if you want to use it, and even there it's barely working.

  : For us this was a pass-through overnight stay on route to (southern) Spain. Before we used to spend one night in one of the chain hotels in France (Kyriad, Campanille,...) This is far better. One has to drive a little further and it is not immediately along the highway, but the quality is worth the extra mile. The hotel has a good restaurant, friendly staff and above all very comfortable and clean room.
  : There is no on-site parking, but then, across from the hotel is the "village square" where you can park for free. Hence this is not really a problem.

  : Nice bathroom, nice room, nice building. Very nice atmosphere in the restaurant below. I regret we ate before arrival, since it would be nice to sit there with so many nice local Spaniards. You can try very nice selection of wines there!
  : Room could have been cleaner - we found too many hair and other small residues left after probably previous guests. There is a possibility to buy breakfast, it's very tastym but very very small. I think even three portions would be not enough to feel ok. There is no air-con, and when you open window, the church bells can bring you to the edge of heart attack :-)

  : The location and especially the ride into / out of Betelu (we did this on a motorbike) - Amazing! The staff here were also friendly and accommodating, despite the varying levels of English that they spoke (and I really do appreciate they are not English too). The food (once available) was well priced and also fantastic. Betelu is a rustic and very pretty place to visit. 10 out of 10 for everything I've mentioned here. Even the church bell chiming every 15 minutes was honestly no bother at all, you'll soon fall asleep. We slept really well despite the church bell and traffic that I mention in the next section - We had ridden 520 miles that day however, so were gonna sleep like logs regardless!
  : The bathroom in our room was covered in mould as the photos show, even a painting hanging in the bathroom has mould on it, the bathroom smelt damp too - Not being overly dramatic but mould in a room is a serious health hazard and this was a massive disappointment and completely overshadowed, what would have been a very memorable stay in the most incredible location. The rest of the room was outstanding and also roomy, please please please, sort the damp / mould issue in the bathroom - It's all to do with the lack of ventilation in there, easily solved if you fitted a better / bigger / more powerful extractor fan. Because of the location of Betelu, you get a fair amount of traffic coming through and the Hotel is right on the roadside and because a lot of the traffic is motorcycles enjoying an incredible road, you do hear them. As a biker myself, I can happily confirm that the bikers riding through were respectful with their engine revs / exhaust note but a Harley riding at 10 MPH in a built up area still makes a fair chunk of noise, this is not any criticism of the Hotel, there's not really much they can do about this but I'm happy to add that once it gets dark at night, the traffic does eventually stop.
