  : Lovely hotel in an old convent, beautiful gardens. Large room with a massive bed. Despite what Ive written about the shower I would happily stay here again. Helpful staff. Only an hour from the Santander ferry.
  : The shower in my room was on the ceiling about 12 feet high, it was angled so it hit the wall about head height, so I switched to the hand held shower, it was very hot as the shower temperature was set for a long drop not a couple of feet, you cannot use both without altering the temperature quite substantially, but the temperature control was very stiff, especially with wet hands. Forget the ceiling shower use the hand held one. When you come out the shower you realise why its angled to hit the back wall, the floor was wet as the shower partition wall didnt go high enough. Also, the automated check-in beat me, took me a while to realise I was meant to go through the other door.

  : It was very atmospheric and tastefully decorated el convento. The staff was super helpful and polite, particularly Ms Begonia, who went extra mile to help me with my wi-fi issues. They even purchased a cable connector for my laptop. The library room, where I was working, is precious if you have time for reading some books. Breakfast was excellent with home cooked bizcochos and provided great start to a productive day. Muchas Gracias!
  : Hotel has wi-fi issues which is reasonably strong for internet browsing but not strong enough to hold a zoom call, in case you need such access.

  : Our restaurant meal was excellent.
  : The room was very poor....bad design ...lacking power points, poorly operated shower. Lighting controls very confusing. Lack of decent storage. Grubby rooms.

  : The building and gardens are lovely. The staff were kind and helpful
  : We were disappointed with the appointment of the room we stayed in. In contrast with the beauty and renovation of the abbey, the decor of our room was unsympathetic and poorly thought out. I feel the designers were trying unsuccessfully to achieve a boutique look, that ended up over cluttered and over designed. Obviously a lot of money had been spent on some parts of our rather gloomy and claustrophobic room which was diminished by for example the cheap furniture and grubbiness. I so wished the room had simple design in keeping with the rest of the hotel The quality of the breakfast was terrible
