  : This is a truck stop and provided great value accomodation and food. No frills, but all you need - warm room, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water. No English spoken - only Spanish and French. No real menu choices - you eat what the truck drivers eat and it's substantial home made and great value. And you get plenty of red wine straight from the fridge. Room very quiet and no noise from all the trucks. Parking secure. Amazing value for money and would stay again.

  : Walking on camino Via Bayona- the camino passes right by this hostal. Got a nice welcome as a pilgrim. Room comfy, clean and warm. Nice touch is net curtains to hide the less than picturesque views of either N1 at front or car junk yard behind - its in a service area on N1 which feels semi-derelict but the once you get inside the hostal it is very nice! Bar and restaurant mainly serves drivers on the road but food was decent! Good one night stay - and if you felt like stretching your legs there are some nice tracks up the hills behind the hostal - the next village Monasterio de Rodillo is also nice to explore with ermita de Nuestra Seora de Valle.

  : This is a classic Spanish truck stop, mostly used by French and Spanish truck drivers. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable with warm rooms and lots of hot water. I stayed here earlier this year as well. Little English spoken but French is OK. Not much menu choice - you eat what they supply but it is good local produce.
  : Dinner was great but breakfast was rather limited - great coffee and fresh orange juice but the only food choices were warious pastries from the bar.

  : We arrived at 10pm at night (very tired & hungry) to a warm welcome. Very quickly we were able to get to our rooms and then chose from a daily menu, eat and drink very well indeed. Just like the hotel, the food prices were great value. Thanks for doing the important things well! The situation is worth mentioning too, everyone should try and get up to see the Monastery des Rodilla which is just 8km further up the trail. In fact many of the small villages here are very lovely and well worth the slow drive or even walk....
