: A great place to stay if you want to spend some days in Xanten with your family. The apartment is situated in walking distance to the train station and to all interesting POIs. Very nice host, very clean rooms.
: The beds were squeaking, but the host took care of it after I called him about it. I am not a fan of the stairs of a kind as those in the apartment, but this is my problem :-) What I did not like was not having a possibility to lock the door from the inside using the key.

: Well in the centre, the apartment had basically all it needed. It was convenient we could set up beds on the top floor and living room (sofa), so we could sleep separately.

: This was a very nice apartment that I readily recommend to others. We loved the layout. It has two levels, with kitchen/living room below and the bedroom and bath up above. The view from the bedroom/bathroom was great; you could see over the rooftops to the church off in the distance. The location could not be better. We were just minutes walk to the church and the archaeological park, which was a highlight of our visit to Xanten. The apartment was quiet and comfortable in every way. A nice gentleman came to meet us after we arrived to hand over the keys and show us the apartment. I would definitely stay here again.
: We had an excellent stay and I have no real complaints. The only very small thing to mention is that it would be nice to have a little freezer section in the refrigerator. We were traveling with an ice cooler and needed to keep some ice over night. I realize freezers can be unusual in German refrigerators, but we have stayed in other apartments in Germany that had these.

: Very spacious and comfortable rooms, great location within the town centre for walking to everything, the apartment was exceptionally clean! We had to use the heat because it was suddenly cold overnight, and it worked very efficiently. The area was very quiet when we visited, but I can imagine in the high season it might not be as quiet -- the street noise was minor but it did come up into bedroom.
: Only minor things: (1) we were only given two coffee pods for the unusual machine (Saeco, I believe) and couldn't find the correct brand of coffee pods in local shops. When we switched to drip coffee pot, there were no filters for the machine in the apartment. (2) The bed is definitely hard; we didn't mind that, but other people might not like it. (3) We took the garbage out, but were confused about where to put it! Some instructions about local garbage facilities would be helpful. ;)

: We like everything about that place apart from the information on the reservation in Booking - on the first page it was written check-in between 14.30 and 18.00, and then on the back with small letters - on Saturday until 13.00. Luckily there was a phone number placed on the front door of the apartments and the host came quickly with the keys.
