  : The owner is very friendly. She greeted me, showed me the studio, and handed over the key. Since there is no street parking available, the owner suggested an affordable one, just several streets away from the studio. However, there are plenty of public parking places nearby. Free parking, near the center of the city, is difficult for non-residents. The studio is located behind the owner's house in a quiet neighborhood in the old city center. There are plenty of restaurants and several supermarkets, bakeries, and butcher stores at walking distance. The kitchen is big and has all the necessary to cook a hearty meal. The bathroom is big and comfortable. The studio was very clean. The bed is very comfortable. I slept very well. Wi-Fi reliable. The Christmas Market is only 10 mins walking distance! There you will find food and drink typical of the region and the season. A glass of "Gluhwein," (hot spiced wine), will keep you warm. For the hikers, like yours truly, there are several trails leading to/or around the Wernigerode Castle, from where you will get a spectacular view of the city. I highly recommend this place for people with short stature and/or not higher than 5'5" or 1,70 m. You will feel in a lovely Hobbit's Hut. Every centimeter was properly used. It is a good option for short visits.
