This small country castle from the 17th century is located in the historic centre of the wine-producing town of Volkach not far from its vineyards. Free private parking is available in the hotel's courtyard and free WiFi is available throughout the property. Stay in one of the enchanting and unique guest rooms which are fitted with antique furniture ranging from Baroque cupboards to Louis XVI four-poster beds and fine Biedermeier tables. : Hotel is perfectly located right in the middle of downtown and has ample parking space. Breakfast and other meals could be had in a nice courtyard outside, but also in the restaurant inside. Breakfast was amazing! As our first trip after relaxation of COVID-realted restrictions, I did not expect much from the "breakfast buffet" experience, but the staff had smartly sorted it out without compromising on the variety avaiable to the guests. Choice of at least 8 different types of eggs and many more toppings for your breads to be chosen from were available along with the usual breakfast items (coffee, juices, cereals,...). We were in the superior double room, which was a big, clean, pretty and comfortable. Staff was very welcoming and helpful, attentive to all our requests. Loved the charm of the old beautiful building, but totally enjoyed the comfort of modernized bathroom!

: The room was quite large, very clean. The bed was comfy and we slept very well. We had a room facing the car park so it was very quiet. Location is great as the small town with shops, cafes, restaurants is in walking distance.
: The breakfast was disappointing for such a high priced hotel, reminded us of a hostel breakfast. Presentation was done very very basic, only warm drinks were tea or coffee (no cappuccino etc.). No offer of scrambled eggs, only hard or soft boiled eggs. We have had better and more selection in cheaper hotels we have stayed in. When we mentioned this to the owner it was simply stated that they can't offer so much as they would throw too much away and everyone had different expectations. Additionally as we only stayed for two nights I left the "Do not Disturb" Sign on the door and this was not noticed but the housecleaning went in and provided new towels etc. If the hotel is trying to save money maybe doing the same as we have seen in other hotels not to change the towels daily. Some people need this but I see it as a complete waste of resources for such a short stay.

: Excellent location in the center of town with free parking behind the hotel. Very comfortable bed, plenty of hangers in the closet and bathroom essentials (shampoo, body wash, shower caps, etc) provided. Generous breakfast with beautiful fresh and dried fruits, yogurts, cereals, fresh baked breads, cheese and meats with eggs made to order. Exceptionally friendly staff. Hotel restaurant was top quality with delicious local offerings.
: We were never able to get a wifi connection anywhere in the hotel.
