  : Its very near Rothenburg old town, breakfast is very nice, staffs are very friendly.
  : When we arrive there was very hot , its little hard to sleep with fan. But Alles gut .

  : We are a British family living in the Netherlands, our main language is English. The hotel is run by a family and they tried their best to speak English which was very much appreciated. During the day, the guests are mostly looked after by a young lady and in the evening the older owners help out here and there. The breakfast was very nice and there was plenty of choice. We had a cold dinner for one evening which included some tasty local delicacies. The hotel is 200 years old and it does feel like taking a step back in time. The way it is furnished reflects this. Also, the modernised bathrooms are done in a style that fits this old building. One should take into account that the building is old and therefore the wooden floors creak. This is all part of the charm of the hotel.
  : There are no basic facilities in the room such as complimentary coffee, tea or even cups. Outside the room, in the hall, there was a fridge and a kettle and two mugs. This was not enough to cater for all the rooms on that floor. If you want to make your own tea or coffee, you have to bring everything yourself as if you are going on a camping holiday. Although the bathrooms look very modern, you can expect a shower that has no power and goes regularly from extremely cold to extremely hot. The hotel advertises that it has a restaurant where you can have cold snacks for lunch or in the evening. They don't serve hot food. At the front door we discovered they don't serve lunch and that on Tuesdays, they have a rest day. This means you cannot even get coffee or tea (as they don't provide this in the room.) We also noticed that guests arrived on Tuesday and left because nobody answered the doorbell(s). The family and friends of the owners also make use of this hotel. In the evening the owners join their friends for a drink. Therefore, If you are out in the restaurant or on the terrace, you may have to wait for a bit when it comes to taking an order for drinks. We were the only family that made use of the restaurant, to have a coffee or drinks or somewhere to sit as a family and play cards. The restaurant (common room), apart from Tuesdays is allegedly open until 10 pm. One evening, we left earlier as we felt uncomfortable. The owners and family were hovering around waiting for us to leave. We left around 8 pm, having been there for probably 45 minutes. We suspected that the family uses the restaurant themselves to have dinner and preferred to do this in private. We were unfortunately in a time when the weather was very bad. There is only so much time you can spend outside the hotel so it would have been great if the common room/restaurant was more welcoming, considering that the nearest town is 5km away and you always are in need of a car.
