: We were staying there 1 night to visit Christmas Market at Ravenna gorge. We were very kindly welcomed. We made a full tour of the hotel, lounge etc ... Then she gave us the key of our room. We had a room with kind of small lobby, bedroom separately and bathroom too. Room are quite old, floor are in wood so you'll hear you cracking :) We spend few hours in the lobby of the hotel which is very calm. Decoration, seats etc ... are very very nice ! The breakfast was reallllly good with good salmon "cream" ...
: Because of the construction materials ... room are not very calm, especially if you're close to the stairs which we were. Very very small TV. It's even amazing to see the old fashion TV (not flat screen). We didn't watch it ... But I wanted to write it as the room price is around 100.

: The breakfast was sensational, the host was super friendly and welcoming and the sitting room looking over the garden was delightful. I would have liked to sit there with a book all day.
: The bedroom was very basic and could do with a little more space in the bathroom, and floor space/seating area in the room.

: It was difficult to find a place in Hinterzarten. Hinterzarten is exceptional. Hotel am Bach location is easy to find however the view was nothing to write home about. The property has excellent WiFi. The speed is great. The breakfast is also decent with many different jams and butter options. Due to Corona the buffet wasn't there but I'd have loved to have buffet there. It was very awkward for me to order things I wanted to have. The decor of the place is super. Owner's amazing taste shows in every corner of the hotel.
: The mattress....oh God, I'd have paid another 20 to have softer mattresses. Every morning I got up with sore back. The mattresses are super hard. Thank God for the small thought about bits...the room had a hot water bag which helped me every morning to get my back in order. The pillows were very soft. I stayed there for five nights and every night I got up two or three times to fix my pillow position. Could I have told the owner and fixed it, probably yes but I didn't do it.The room doesn't have black out curtains so even when I had chance to sleep long, the sunlight woke me up around 6:30-7:00 amLastly the worst thing...the walls are very thin. I could overhear conversations from the adjacent room and every time my neighbor flushed, it was loud enough to wake me up at night.

: location was beautiful and quiet, breakfast had several delicious homemade jams and spreads, enjoyed access to the gardens to relax, excellent access to walking paths to get downtown, the owners were very gracious and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful.

: Hotel am Bach is a really nice boutique hotel, with a great atmosphere. The room was large, nicely decorated. There is a relaxing lounge with comfortable chairs, a great library and a piano (if you wish to entertain :-). The breakfast served is different, no run off the mill bread/ham/egg, but all this plus loads and loads of small dishes with homemade jams, herb butters, pastes, dressings etc. A treat. The entire decor is clearly aligned with the vision of the owner.
