  : Okay - I don't like to leave a negative review so I am going to be super fair here. Sleeping - the main sleeping part of the caravan is super, super cosy and makes for a really good night's sleep. The rain pitter-pattering on the roof helped me sleep even better, and the heater in the caravan itself was very, very effective indeed. Cleanliness - The caravan was spotless, very clean and even the (understandably - it is a caravan) smallish toilet was clean and had zero "toilet" odour - that's impressive in a confined space, it is clearly well taken care of. The facilities in the caravan were very well explained to us once we were in, so we knew exactly how everything worked and the host was contactable during the stay by whatsapp for any other questions (useful, as we wanted to use the heater in the porch/awning area too, so managed to gain permission to do so this way). Whilst we were here in Autumn, I could imagine this to be a pretty place to spend time in summer :)
  : Sadly, whilst helpful, our problem with our stay lay mostly with the host, payment/hidden extras. Not the best value but cheap for the areaWe arrived by bicycle (cycling England to Norway) after a long day riding well over 100km in the rain quite noticeably cold and wet. The next morning & rest of our trip was in Scandinavia & the last of the complicated and unclear payment remained, so I had asked ahead if we could pay by credit card.. as, of course, we did not need euros anymore we wanted to minimise carrying cash we didn't need.Anyway - upon arrival, he will only accept cash, making out as if my error when he fact he'd replied yes to my credit card question. All the while we're talking in the rain it is clear his expectation is of me to cycle some kilometres back to get cash, continuously lecturing me about having cash (despite me pointing out that we had done our part in asking ahead and making sure we brought what we needed - enough for a coffee stop, & a working credit card!) to the point where I actually had to ask him to stop. He agreed to drive me (now shivering & wet, stopped outside so long) into town to get cash. Okay, great, that sorts this issue, he didn't have to but the issue was his fault in this case.And so we go. On the journey. there is a new surprise! "Will you be wanting to shower?" "Yes, of course" "Okay, well there is a card entry, you must give me 50 euros deposit in cash which I will give you back in the morning".Now - I had to accept this and take out even more cash, but this was not mentioned before or during booking. When I pointed this out he said "it is normal here" - that is not a valid excuse and needs to be made very clear, which it is not. On the journey back he continued to lecture me over and over about having cash - to the point where I had plain had enough. It took all of my patience to stay polite, as it was very condescending behaviour.
