  : Excellent small family run hotel of the kind Germany does so well. Very traditional in style, in a good way. Two minutes walk from the thermal baths.

  : Location very central, room spacious and receptionist was helpful on arrival.
  : We booked the hotel's premier room category, which is the Double Room with Air Conditioning because after a long day of travel, we wanted to have a cool, comfortable room for sleep. Instead we discovered that they have sold us a defective room with any or all of: (1) a noisy air conditioner, (2) faulty electrical wiring or (3) other intermittent motor type noise in the ceiling. A very loud buzzing noise occurred every 15 minutes approx, when the air conditioner was on. We then switched it off but the same very loud buzzing noise came from that area of the ceiling, firstly every 15 minutes, then every 30 minutes, then every hour through the entire night. Though we understood Reception closed at 9pm, in desperation, we tried calling, Whatsapping and emailing them for help but none came. We even came down to the dark lobby, wondering if we could sleep on the lobby couches but they were too small. We tried switching off different lights in the room in case it could be some electrical fault in the ceiling. Nothing helped and needless to say, we did not sleep a wink that night. When we came down to cancel the rest of our stay, the receptionist seemed very disbelieving of us and said that no-one had ever complained about this issue. No traveller would possibly want to cancel their remaining stay if not for something that is seriously wrong with the room. We had made plans for the day after arrival, but all of those were ruined as we had to quickly find alternative accommodation and had to move our luggage in the morning. No traveller would want that to happen on their trip! Unfortunately, the good points about the hotel were sorely overshadowed by the failure to provide a room to sleep in, which is a hotel's order of business.
