  : Old historic building right in the centre of Bacharach.View from the balcony.
  : Rooms have been renovated with were very basic interiors. Does not give you a feel of the historic building from the inside. Feels more like a low budget motel.Was surprised that not even a bottle of water was provided in the room.The greatest disappointment however was that the lady present during check-in deliberately quoted a wrong price for the next day's breakfast that included Euros 13 extra for the young children. She wrote it down on the booking papers and kept for the lady who would be present the next morning for breakfast. However the very nice and decent lady present the next day decided to charge the correct price instead.

  : Bacharach seems little known to US and UK tourists, but is a gem of a medieval town on the banks of the Rhine. The people are very friendly and the atmosphere of the town feels like stepping back 500 years. The Hotel is central and can't be faulted for the quality of the rooms and breakfast. There are nice considerate touches like books left out for guests. If you are thinking of visiting the Rhineland, definitely consider this hotel and town.
  : Nothing. This was a good hotel in a good location. Maybe parking could have been closer but that's all.

  : The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good. Location right in the centre of Bacharah and a few minutes from the Boat station on the Rhine. Parking was a couple of minutes walk and only 15 Euros for seven days, 5 Euros for one day and 1 Euro for an hour, payment between 9am to 6pm, otherwise free.
  : The stairs. The first flight was good, normal layout, the second was narrow and rounding/spiral, the third seemed similar. Fortunately, the receptionist (or it could have been the Manageress) carried the really heavy suitcase up the stairs and agreed to put us in a room on the first floor rather than the second; I would have struggled (aged 76) and my husband has a bad back. That would be the main reason for not returning. The accommodation was more like a Bed and Breakfast than a hotel e.g. no toiletries other than hand and body wash, bed not made up, no cleaning etc; however, for the price it was still very good value.

  : That we managed to get a room at all and it was quiet space but it was quite dodgy at night too where at times we felt unsafe. This town was really quiet in general during Spring.
  : The check in process was not what we expected, because it is non-peak period for travellers, you strictly had to check in at 3pm and there was no place to put your luggage if you're early. We had to stand and wait outside for a couple of hours and it was very uneasy. We also stayed on a high floor, with large suitcases, we climbed up 5 storeys and it was very narrow and difficult.

  : We enjoyed the generous breakfast. The location was perfectly centered in the town. Near the train. And we rented bikes and rode up and down the Rhine on a very easy to use path. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any requests.
