  : Loved the hotel itself (building/grounds), the check-in process was a breeze, location was good, a very charming very german property. It felt dated, but in a good way, like mid-century 60's charm.
  : The staff and the service is where this place fell down, except for the breakfast staff who was genuinely nice and helpful. We had dinner reservations that night in the hotel as well, but unfortunately there was a wedding going on in the main room/outdoors and the staff were overwhelmed. When it came time to attend to us, it didn't happen. I thought this was peculiar as both my mother and I are fluent German speakers, but we were flat out ignored in the dining room room making us feel . An example, we ordered a nice bottle of local wine which was poured in our glass then placed in a cold bucket across the room (as was everyone's). As other tables got refills, we sat there empty. An hour into service and we had no food, no wine in our glasses, while the other 4 tables in the room were getting desert. At 2 hours into service, with just appetizers having arrived, we grabbed the bottle, filled our glasses, and left. Never heard from the staff again, never approached about the meal, and when we asked about it were dismissed and told it takes time. I'm sorry, but when soup was served (all at the same time) to the other 4 tables in the room but not to us, it is not a timing issue it is a lack of respect issue. This was palpable during the whole evening.
