  : Lots of space for two. Kitchen with cutlery etc (clean it first). Fridge. The TV gets a variety of illnesses, which will keep you mentally and physically active trying to find cures for. The unsettling floor stains will inspire you to write horror stories to rival Edgar Allan Poe.
  : So this is why foreign workers in CR look so glum. Firstly, the key guy (from a private security firm) told us we had to pay a higher price. Then, after a call which corrected the price, he didn't have any change, not even notes. There were 3 rooms, 12 narrow beds with thin sheets and thin pillows, 1 small kitchen, 1 combined not very clean toilet/shower room (for 12 people? How?), disintegrating carpets, no towels, ill TV. Luckily the post-covid economic collapse meant that there were only 2 of us, so we had plenty of space, but there would not be much privacy or hygiene for the 12 people who are normally meant to stay there. Czechs, next time you meet a foreign worker, be nice to them, because they are doing work you don't want to do, while living in accommodation you would rather not stay in.

  : The person who I spoke to on the phone to check-in spoke perfect English, was kind and helpful when I was confused and didn't know what to do, and as was the person who delivered my keys, althought he could not speak English, he was very helpful, and got his point across to me without words. The room wasn't bad at all, although it was no 5 star hotel, you certainly get what you pay for, and I'm not complaining at all at the price of my stay. Excellent value for money in a good location.
  : The room had a certain smell throughout, not unpleasant, just noticeable. The shower head wouldn't stay on its hook, just kept sliding off and to start with twatted me in the head. The most disappointing part of my stay was the people who I presume were housekeeping. In hotels I've stayed in in the past, housekeeping would come around early afternoon, a few hours or so before the check-in time, and if you were still in the room, they would apologise and come back later. The housekeeping here on a number of days unlocked my door, let themselves in, and then subsequently, I presume, have a go at me, although I can't be sure as I don't speak a word of Czech. I wouldn't have minded if this happened once, but the fact that it happened on 3 days is really disappointing. And then to make matters worse, on checkout day, this morning, one of the housekeepers let themselves in at around 9am, and shoved a sign in my half asleep face and showed me that checkout was at 10am. I knew that, there was absolutely no need for that at all. My stay required me to have a few late nights, and therefore I would be sleeping in until around 10am on some of the days, so the fact that the housekeeping would enter my room by themselves, presumably get annoyed at me because I was still there, and then not even clean anything once I'd left. It's just a bit disappointing really.
