  : The hotel might be OK if you actually stay there. Sadly, we didn't have the chance to experiment it since it was overbooked :(. At least, on the positive side, the front-desk staff offered us a complimentary bottle of water (it was very hot in Neuchatel when we were there).
  : Upon arrival, we were told that the hotel was overbooked - with no previous notice! - and we were offered a room at another hotel 1 km away. The hotel we were offered was not only cheaper looking, and more expensive overall than the initial booking, but we were also offered a room on the 6th and last floor (a "mansarde"), with no real air conditioning (the improvised one inserted in the room was VERY LOUD), which forced us to leave the window to try to breathe during the night (on a street that was also noisy). The room we got was also very small and the bed sheets had a faint smell. Overall, it was a very uncomfortable experience. I guess that one should rather pay in advance for the reservation on booking.com to avoid such situations - although it always worked well in any other location I booked using this website over the past 10 years (L.A., San Francisco, Las Vegas, New York and Boston in the USA, Cape Town + most of Europe - UK, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Cyprus, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Romania, Turkey and the Czech Republic).

  : The double room was very spacious. It had a nice sofa, as well as a lounge chair. The bed was very comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean. The room was at street level, but with the triple-pane windows closed there was zero street noise. Closing the windows was possible because it was one of the few air-conditioned rooms. The hotel is maybe a 15 minute walk from the train station, and less than a 10 minute walk from the Theatre du Passage which serves as the central point of the annual NIFFF (Neuchtel International Fantastic Film Festival). There are closer hotels, but this one is close enough to be convenient.
  : There was some confusion when I was inadvertently initially assigned a non-air-conditioned room, but that was quickly rectified. It is quite clear in the Booking.com website when selecting a room during the reservation process whether the room has air-conditioning or not, but since there is a mix of similar rooms with and without, you need to verify that you actually get what you reserved when you check-in.
