: The apartment itself was lovely, meeting all my expectations with its amenities and comfort. However, there were a few aspects of the check-in and check-out process that caught me by surprise and I believe are important to highlight. Firstly, upon arrival, I was asked to provide a 250 CHF cash deposit. This requirement wasn't mentioned in the apartment's description on Booking.com, and I found it quite unexpected. Additionally, during the check-in process, a photo was taken of my credit card, which I found a bit unusual and somewhat concerning. I believe transparency regarding these practices in the listing would be beneficial for future guests to prepare accordingly. Another point to note is the 'tat des lieux' conducted at both check-in and check-out. This is essentially a detailed inspection of the apartment's items, ensuring everything is as it should be.

: The studio is located in a new apartment block, it was very clean and has good public transport connections to the city. The bed was comfortable.
: Taking a break from camping in the Alps, my wife and I decided to stay in Lausanne for 3 nights. On the Booking app we searched for properties in the area with free parking and a laundry. This one came up. 1) Be aware that it does NOT have free parking and you are informed of this only after already booking, when you receive a very long "terms and conditions" email from the owner. You can either leave the car in front of the building with the parking clock on the dashboard which you have to move every 4 hours; you can leave it on the parking behind the building which is free only on Sundays; or pay the owner 10 CHF/day to park in the garage. 2) We could NOT use the laundry! The owner explained that we simply need to make an account for the service and we can use it - this is not the case! We made an account, and then received a confirmation email that they will activate it within 48 hours. As per the contract, you would then need to charge the new account 3 days before first use of the washing machine! So this would only be useful for someone staying in the flat for a long time. The contract then specified that we can only cancel our subscription by sending a registered mail via regular post! Very frustrating! We then went to a regular laundromat 10min walking distance away, and did our laundry there. 3) At check-in, we signed a long inventory list specifying all the items in the flat. This is common when renting a flat for a long period, but never happened to us yet at B&B's, and we travel a lot! The owner then took a picture of my credit card and even insisted to provide the 3-digit CVV number on the back of the card! I expressed my hesitation but the owner dismissed it. I then called my bank clerk who told me to never disclose this security number to anyone and suggested to block the card to be on the safe side! Again, very frustrating and not something you would wish to experience when on vacation.
