  : The location was good, next to a tram stop. The owners were nice to talk to - the issues below all came from other parts of the stay.
  : I couldn't enjoy many parts of the experience at Atlas. A few mistakes or issues I could understand, but all combined they made my stay very unpleasant. Each good thing had an issue associated with it. 1. The bed was comfortable, but then turned out to have bugs in it. On my first night, I swatted what I think was either a German cockroach or a bedbug on my *pillow*, and saw another in the bathroom. I got bites on my arms over the stay, different from the mosquito bites I got the previous week while travelling in France. 2. Paying for the property was a real issue. I reserved to pay on arrival, fine - but then was told I had to pay cash. I hadn't imagined this would be possible - it is unacceptable and unrealistic in 2023. After I went to a lot of effort to get the cash I needed, I was then shown details for an electronic bank transfer option. Why wasn't I shown this before? The whole thing made me incredibly stressed. 3. The electricity went out for hours on two separate occasions, including my last night there. No WiFi, no charging devices, no shower (too dark to see) until later that night. While out of their hands, it contributed to a bad experience and I lost a significant part of what I paid for when staying there. 4. The breakfast was ok - some meat and cheese laid out, pastries and filter coffee - but every day I was there, a different owner/worker would ask me why I didn't go to breakfast when I in fact had. It felt very strange and became quite annoying - was I somehow having breakfast wrong? If so, what should I have been doing? Very strange.

  : An excellent location thats close to the centre of Ghents historic centre and on a tram line that goes to the door of Ghent Saint Pieter train station.Beautifully restored home with interesting decor throughout. Extremely hospitable hosts.

  : Great location, old house with amazing interior in lobby, nice hosts and I like the design of my room (bright and spadeful). Bathroom was exactly clean.

  : Delightful hosts fabulous breakfast very near town centre walking distance on tram route 1. Quirky b&b with themed rooms.
  : TV only worked on one station. Bathroom Was small and washbasin was sink in bedroom. Lots of dust around. No coffee/ tea facilities in room. Only accepts cash or bank transfer even though says takes visa which caused me some issues and extra money.

  : The hygiene in the hotel is incredibly bad. I had a two-day stay in the America room and on the second day I saw a lot of cockroaches and bedbugs. When I returned to my country, my wife and I had pimples and red blisters on our hands, arms and legs. When we went to the doctor, we found out that we were bitten by these bugs. We itched for days and had to use different medicines and creams. It has been two weeks since our stay and we still have small traces of pimples and rashes on our skin. Also the sheets and the bottom of the bed are very dirty. In addition, it is said that there is a separate toilet in the America room, but if you are over 1 meter 70 centimeters tall, you cannot close the door while using the toilet. The hotel is good in terms of staff and location, but it is so bad in terms of hygiene that no one who pays attention to their own physical health and respects themselves should stay in that hotel. I think it is a great disrespect to Ghent and the tourists visiting Ghent to run this place without the supervision of legislators and law enforcement agencies.
