Located on the banks of the Salzach River in the centre of Salzburg the Hotel Stein has a history dating back to medieval times and was fully renovated and reopened in the spring of 2018. The restaurant Steinterrasse is located on the 7th floor and offers a view of the old town of Salzburg. Hotel Stein's own spa area can be used against a surcharge and features a relaxation area sauna and gym.
Guides are provided in the rooms with running hiking and Nordic walking routes. Only 70 metres from the property the well known Linzergasse starts where a variety of shops can be found. Cultural landmarks like Mozart's Birthplace Salzburg Cathedral the Mirabell Garden and Hohensalzburg Fortress are all within short walking distance to Hotel Stein.
