: Nicely restored castle - it used to be a ruin which was carefully rebuilt over more than a decade. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We really liked the 4-course dinner with some great wine recommendations. We also took advantage of the sauna which was very useful after a day of skiing. Breakfast was also delicious.
: As our room was not very big, we would have liked a seating area other than the restaurant just to relax, drink a glass of wine and read a book.

: Charming hotel with very friendly staff and cute rooms. Breakfast was delicious and ample. We enjoyed our one night stay.
: The breakfast could have easily been outside as it was a lovely warm summer day. They kept it in the wintergarden and the nice garden tables were unused right in front. Why? - aside from that all great. Super lovely staff and great charming location. Room was a little noisy with hearing other guests in the hall but nothing bad. Charming room with view. Only thing I did not like is that they made it look like as if the hotel was on a lake. It is not. The lake is 10 min away by car and is a small, public and overrun lake.

: Absolutely beautiful location, gorgeous old castle with all the old charm preserved, friendly staff who were very accommodating, delicious breakfast with local products
: I felt that since we were there towards the end of the season it felt a little depressing. Everything was closed and completely silent at 9:30 pm. I would definitely recommend coming more in the high season unless youre after a quiet holiday

: The Schrempfs are very welcoming and kind, and probably the most friendly Austrians you will ever meet. They did an amazing job at renovating their historic building and even made it completely co2 neutral. The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet area. By car you can easily reach cities like Salzburg and Hallstatt, and you can find many outdoor activities nearby.
: We encountered several very reckless Austrian drivers on the roads on our daily trips, which has nothing to do with the hotel, but one should definitely take care when driving in this area. It was a bit hard to get the bedroom to cool down at night, just opening the window didn't help much and there is no airconditioning present. When sleeping lightly, you might hear noises from other guests, which might have to do with the historic nature of the building.
